What did you do in the garden today?

This is the path in the garden. :gig I can no longer get through but I won't cut the cosmos because the bees like it. They were volunteers, I always let the volunteers live.

& these are the volunteer sun gold tomatoes, I didn't even stake them. They're producing quite well as they are & really aren't in the way yet. :idunno

Had to take the boot off... It was just too painful. 😑 This is not going at all like I expected. I figured I would be sore but generally able to walk by today.

Hope the rubber band stretches helps. Take it easy, pushing too hard will only set you back. I know it’s easier said than done.

I'm so sorry! Did they offer you one of those things you can rest your knee on with wheel on it? I never would have made it without that thing after foot surgery.

Hmmm, interesting. OK, then here's my dilemma... I would imagine the fungus is present on the tree and in the area. I sprayed the tree this morning with Bonide Fruit Tree spray. Then I cut away the bad tissue. Treated the wound with neem and then an aspirin paste. I would think any of the 3 could/should kill the fungus...

But starting on Sunday it is going to rain (allegedly, but I've heard this before) for 4 days. Wouldn't that be prime conditions for reinfection? Wet wood, warm temperatures, and exposed wound.
I understand your dilemma, and could be you're right (I'm not an expert at this), but I wouldn't want to seal off the wound totally, as that, for me, sounds just as bad, if not worse. If it was my problem, I'd take the chance of it getting through the wet weather OK.

They won't give pain pills here no matter what because of the opioid epidemic. One of my very good friends was dying of terminal brain cancer & they wouldn't give her anything. One of the last times I saw her out of the hospital she was guzzling tequila rocking back & forth in excruciating pain. I was so mad for her - some people DO need pain pills. I was relieved for her in a way, when she finally passed. The end of her life was hell & she was one of the kindest people I've ever been blessed to know.
If a person is terminal they need to give them what they need to get by. Dying people don't get addicted. When my Father and Mother were passing on they were giving them the pain killers they needed. As they should. :duc Rant mode off.
