There is NO reason at all to put up with aggressive and nasty birds, when there are so many kind ones out there. I hear so many stories of kind roosters, loveable ones, which is great. I also know that roosters are a HUGE part of the population of NON WANTED birds because well... so with that, if someone really wanted / needed a roo, I don't think there'd be much problem getting a FRIENDLY one, with so many waiting for someone to snag them out of the dog food line, Get a friendly one, a HUGE bonus if he protects his girls too. Life is too short, and there are too many choices to have to put up with a nasty one.

If you catch them soon enough, the meat is very tender too and you can actually eat them and not have to resort them to animal feed / compost. So it's a truly win / win when you do cull them.

I want a simple camera you point and push a button, not all this dweezil 2001 function bs. Just like these $#^%kn phones, I want a phone that makes a call, maybe takes a picture THAT IS ALL !!! I can't wait for the EMP to come and take out all this stupid crap that does nothing but makes life more complicated, all with subscriptions that rape you for 5 dollars a month here, 8 dollars a month there, 9.96 a month for this, 11 dollars for this upgrade, on and on endlessly.

Ill go try again ... if it dont work this time then ill break out the vhs camera and try that way, at least I know that s41t works... back when user friendly was still a concern.

I am jealous! I have not had blackberry jam or juice in ages. I will try to plant blackberries in my new place.

Never thought about processing them just for the juice but that's an interesting thought. Blackberries here are a horribly invasive nuisance here until the berries are ripe then everyone is out there picking them. I got lucky yesterday and found a bush that no one else had discovered and do had enough for a small batch of jelly. The huckleberries I had actually gone looking for are great for recipes but so small that it takes an insane amount to make anything.

Will you share your recipe? We have wild evergreen huckleberries here.

Since I had a mix of huckleberries and blackberries, I combined the two recipes below. When I doit again, I'll only use about 4 cups of sugar instead of the 5 cups I used this time. I was trying to average out the amount of sugar in both recipes but it's still sweeter than I'd prefer.

DP wants me to order some from a live bait company just so she can see them, we never seem to have them here either.

We haven't given him anything but Benadryl and apple cider vinegar foot baths(he mainly chews his feet).

Penny is showing signs of being itchy again so DP checked with the vet and we're going to add the Benadryl back to her meds.

We've culled ours as soon as they begin to crow and they've been some of the best roasted or baked chicken we've ever had.

You sound just like me! I've always prided myself on being our home's tech person but there are a few things I've never been able get the hang of. In my case, it seems to happen more and more often. If I didn't know better, I might suspect I was getting older... NAH!

and then they PURPOSELY make the fonts smaller, so it's harder to read, so you have to squint and tip your head because they want you to buy THEIR glasses. It's all a CONSPIRACY I TELL YOU !!!

There are literally hundreds of canning jars in my grandmother's root cellar. Unfortunately my uncle owns her house now and won't let me have them even though he has no use for them. Jerk....
