What did you do in the garden today?

do you mind to post some photos of your green house?
Sure thing
That’s quit a big one though, it used to be part of the tomato farm, but it’s too old, and isn’t covered with plastic on top, just mesh.

Behind the green house wall, it’s possible to see one of the other green houses.
Each of them has a name, mine is called “the crooked”, and the one in the background is called “number three”.

Olives are ready! I put them in a jar about a month ago, and they’re now good to eat. Lemons are also ripnening.
My army of bugs are winning the war against the vil insects, and I can now harvest Swiss chard.
It rained a couple of day ago, and many radishes have hatched! Although I didn’t plant any new ones, guess they’re from the last time.

I live in a pretty warm place and grow almost everything in a green house, that great to keep humidity in and insects out. Insects bring viruses from other farms or from your neighbours.
True, but too hot is too hot regardless. I’m in the desert, I get to use a greenhouse for about five minutes here. Otherwise, it’s just too hot. With no way to cool it down, it has to come down.

Happy Halloween!!!

Nothing in the garden yesterday as they are all sleeping for the winter. Ah winter, temps in the 60s the last few days and then up into the 70s this week! What?!?! And then it looks like 40s next week? Crazy yo-yo weather.

I spent yesterday hanging out with some new chicks.

The grass seed I put down in the pasture is germinating! Lots of little white squiggles on the ground. It hasn't rooted yet... Just exited the seed casing. I will keep the girls locked up another 2 weeks, I think. That ought to give the seed a good chance to root. Let's just hope the horses don't pull it up. I need to put up fencing and gates to cross section my pasture for effective rotational grazing... If only I could afford to do it. Not until spring at the earliest.

@Ascholten - you mentioned having a blood orange the other day. I've been toying with the idea of getting one. I'm assuming you grow yours outdoors since you are in Florida. I'd have to put mine in a container since we can reach single digits in the winter. Do they need more than one for cross pollination? At what age did yours start fruiting? Are they as finicky as lemon trees?
