What did you do in the garden today?

I filled my blender with yacon, then added a pre-packaged cup of applesauce (No Sugar Added) along with a dash of cinnamon. Not sure how much those pre-packaged cups measure out to? Maybe a half cup? I added a tsp of stevia just because some of the yacon was more watery than sweet as it hadn't cured enough. Nothing else... When I spread it out on the parchment, it was about 1/8 inch thick. I think maybe I cooked it too long? I cooked it for 12 hrs at 113 degrees.

a friend of mine has a small business. she makes fruit leather. she told me she cooks it on max 40 c (104 f).

. Good grief, I realized we're all held together with love, pins, rods, and glue! (Can't say I'm not a little disappointed that there isn't a little duct tape in that mix.)

I said something similar to my surgeon right before they put me under for one of my operations. I said, You know, they said they were going to replace us with robots one day, I didn't think they meant one piece at a time !!

I had to look that up. I can't grow it up in Michigan, I bet, and frankly, I wouldn't. It contains inulin, an indigestible sugar. Which give me gas. I had some GF protein/fruit/nut bars and if I ate one, I was gassy. I made the mistake of eating two only once.
Oh BFD, what's a little fart between friends?

Planned a day of working, but that was all derailed by a stray dog around the alpacas. It was a husky dog, so I wasn't taking chances to leave it alone. I could tell from the house it was barking its brains out, but the alpacas weren't afraid and were ready to stomp it to death if need be, but were not really acting concerned, which told me it wasn't being aggressive. (I think the alpacas were more interested if the dog might have access to the feed bins, and would it share.)
I whistled and called out asking if it wanted to go for a car ride and it came running.
I drove it into the city to the shelter, and low and behold, it was immediately recognized as a repeat escapee, 4x as of today. It had a collar and all ID tags on, but its phone number was disconnected. LUCKILY the shelter had the current info on file. I'd still like to know how it managed 30 miles (I don't THINK it was dumped) not wearing all its ID. You'd think a dumper would remove all that, they usually do.
Anyway got home and managed to make the santa bags for gifts. I'm not wrapping this year, shove it in the bag for that person and they can delve in without looking and poof, surprise.
Also spread straw for alpacas, and fresh pine shavings (deep) for the hens, and repaired a storm shutter on the coop. Miss Merriweather is molting again. The joys of living in a nice warm workshop. Her compatriots in the coop aren't going above freezing for at least the next 12 days.
Tree is up and decorated.
