What did you do in the garden today?

I wish my garden were close enough to the chicken run to connect the two. I had the chickens nearer the garden for one summer, as the coop is movable. Not now, since we've added on to it.

Or, if my chickens were pick up and movable. But they aren't. They would totally FREAK.

Have you seen “chunnels”? Some people are making small tunnels out of chicken wire just made into a U shape and garden stapled down. Chickens run through to the open area(s). Very cute! My run has a 2 foot walkway between it & the garden, but I was thinking of making a chunnel to a new area for May-Aug when I would prefer them to not be in the garden 😂

those he machines plain suck, they don't put enough water in to wash the clothes properly. they come out smelling like ass because they didn't have enough water to rinse the parfoom da anus out of your skivvies properly !!

I find that using like a heavy item or deep clean or heavy duty setting tends to get more water, or a deep fill option, which actually helps very little. BUT the key thing is, they go by weight to determine what you got. so one little hack is put your clothes in, and then take an extra gallon of water and slowly pour it over the clothes in the machine, try to soak as much into the clothes as you can w/o it dribbling down into the very bottom where'd it be sucked out. what that does is add about 8 lbs to the weight so it wants to give it a lot more water then.

If your machine is one of those GE bravos?? is it, they are total pieces of garbage, so many recalls and angry pissed off people because of the failure rate on them and just a horrible design.. i hate to say this but if that is what you got, get another one before you blow an aneurism swinging a sledge hammer at the garbage heap.

I like the efficiency thing of it but NOT if it is NOT cleaning my clothes properly.

I love the weight tip and think I'll try it...just hope hubby doesn't lose a gasket 😂

I have to say I question how much those machines actually help. Ours takes 2 hours to wash one load. I set everything to the extra rinse, extra spin, heavy soil, etc. I add heavy rope balls as well to help agitate the dirt out better. And then with some clothes I end up running them through twice if they fail the snif test when I open the washer.

Then the cleaning cycle you have to run every so often just to clean the machine takes 4 hours to run. An empty machine running nonstop for 4 hours. 🙄

Kind of appalling eh. Not a GE though...wonder what those are like since mine has good reviews 🤣

I bought eggs (gasp!) for holiday baking, and have 8 left. All the water glassed eggs in the basement are gone. REALLY don't want to buy eggs!
:barnie

Dang, I just want spring to hurry up.
Wish you were closer! I'd GIVE you eggs. I still have 5 dozen waterglassed eggs that I don't know what to do with. I won't sell them or take them to the food pantry. I'll probably end up making them up for the chickens. I waterglassed them on April 1st, 2022.

I have a Samsung washer. Had a Samsung Dryer too but I sold it and bought a Maytag because I hated it. I hate the washer too. I can't run a simple spin cycle without running a rinse cycle first. Grrrr.... So stupid. I want to get rid of it too but DH would be mad.

It's 70 degrees outside... With this type of heat, those storms will be severe. And I can't find my dang pruning shears... Need to buy new ones anyway because mine are dull and don't want to sharpen no matter how much I try. In the process of looking for them, I realized the yacon rhizomes I am overwintering in the garage are covered with mold... 🤬 I just sprayed them down with bleach water... Hoping the mold doesn't kill them before spring.

Girl, slap yourself and rethink what you just said...
Here, actually, let me help you, I'll re arrange your words slightly so they make more sense.

THank god the garden and chicken run are NOT connected or i'd NOT have a garden....

there, all better :D

Lol. From November until May here in NY, I don’t mind sharing the garden space. Your southern growing season is much different than up here! I WELCOME the pest control help! 😂
