What did you do in the garden today?

They don't make ANYTHING with longevity like they used to. I have a Dyson. I do have pets that shed enough hair to make dust bunnies come alive. We sweep every single day. Our Dyson had an engine issue last month. It's 3 yrs old. Called Dyson. They had me ship it to them and they fixed it for free. Since I couldn't be without a vacuum, we went to Target and bought $125 Hoover. The Hoover didn't last the week. Piece of garbage.
Planned obsolescence is a thing. 😤

How many Gardeners save bacon grease?
I do.
Instead, I cut off the fatty ends of the bacon. The strips fit better in the pan, and the fatty ends go into the freezer. I use those when I’m going to sauté veg, or something I want bacon fat in. When I cook bacon, sometimes I save the fat if I know of a particular thing I’m planning to make.

Back in the day, when I was a baconivore I actually liked cooking my bacon in the oven for evenly cooked perfectly crispy bacon strips. Plus, they didn't spit at me that way. Lol

I got 4 tomato and 4 basil plants in the ground. All my potted plants need to get planted. The roots are circling the bottoms of the pots, looking for freedom.

I have lots of volunteer potatoes coming up where the sweet potatoes will be. Should they stay or should they go? We'll see how many come up where I planted them, ie, where they're supposed to. The sweet potato slips won't be here for another week or more.
