What did you do in the garden today?

It was in the 50s when I woke up this am! Absolutely beautiful fall weather, lol. It's so nice to have the windows open & the AC off.

I blanched all the beans I picked yesterday, another ziplock bag full so I'm about half way done with what I'll need to get thru winter. I need to take a pic of the bean trellis, it's out of control.

Garden shed & bench are all back together & organized. :yesss:

I would like a update on efforts to stop SVB. Someone wrapped the stems. How is that working?
I wrapped mine with strips of tshirt. It DID prevent SVB from infesting my plants. However I discovered that squash bugs REALLY like tshirt material. Their eggs stick to it really well. I ended up losing my plants to squash bugs instead of SVB. 🙄 But to be fair, I was gone for several weeks so....

I have six squash I wrapped and staked so they grew vertically. So far I have only lost one plant, and just recently. It's been nice to have squash!!!

My tomatoes still haven’t ripened yet. 😭
We are having the same problem. My yellow tomatoes and a few cherries have ripened. But none of our standard, reds. Our summer has been wetter and cooler than average. I hope we get a long enough season to harvest some. Same with my squash plants. I had one, thumb-sized sugar pumpkin that I lost to blossom end rot. I've gotten 2 zucchini. NO acorn squash, whatsoever. The plants are thriving - but no fruit
