I would try tying a chain or really stout rope around it and hook it up to the truck or tractor and pull like there's no tomorrow. Might not remove all of it but at least maybe some of it would fall.
I don't have a tractor. If the tree fell the wrong way, I'm sure it would take off the back end of my old Explorer. I have considered getting some block and tackle setup, but I can't seem to talk myself into investing in all the equipment for one tree. I mean, I'm 62 years old and this is the first time I have a tree that I could not cut down with just a chainsaw. I doubt I would ever use all that equipment for any other tree(s) in the yard.
I used to have a big, thick, long heavy rope for pulling down trees. But it walked off on me. Pretty sure I know who took it.
