What did you do in the garden today?

I dashed out barefoot in the rain to pick enough peas and broccoli for dinner tonight. Fifteen minutes from growing on the plant to dishing up from the pans - yummy. It is MUCH too cold for bare feet. Even so, I couldn't help stopping to smile at the marigold plants for awhile. Especially this one.

Still picking tomatoes. The 'non blooming' Mr Stripey plants that I complained about earlier finally started producing lots of large tasty tomatoes. They are still ripening as are a couple of Lemon Boy plants. No frost here yet.
That’s great! I picked a couple small tomatoes yesterday. My Brandywines did very well and I still have some in the kitchen getting ripe.

:lau Sounds like you have the heart of a Hobbit, running around barefoot collecting fresh food to eat and stopping to enjoy the flowers. Too bad we don't have hairy hobbit feet to keep us warm when we are outside communing with nature!
