What did you do in the garden today?

More hollyhocks in bloom and all are pink. I like pink but I would like other colors also. Working on more colors. I have Summer Carnival mix and the Watchman sprouting. I have a Cheyenne Spirit coneflower taking off and will likely bloom. The only one of the winter sown doing this.
I have mini two tone purple. I'll send seeds if you want.

Keep an eye on your cover. When it UV degrades it does it in a hurry and starts shedding plastic shards EVERY WHERE, like snow. Ours was a UV stable greenhouse cover and lasted from March to November here, and by January was completely gone.
Wow, that is very good to know. I bought a 4-year UV resistant greenhouse plastic.

So did I. But I don't think they tested it in Our insane Nebraska heat and UV.
Well, I do live in the second-cloudiest state in the US so I hope that will help it last longer! And I have non-greenhouse plastic on my chicken coop windows and in another greenhouse and it has lasted several years.

A thick layer of pine shavings, oddly enough. Bare Earth and the flies lay eggs in it.
======
I finished the back splash. I cannot find my bottle of sealer, and both bathroom back splashes need done too. So I'll grab another one in the city. The picture stinks, but here it is. I'll rehang the chicken paintings with those pop and click 3m strips this weekend.

That's beautiful. You did a great job.

The Japanese Beatles are here. I found 2 on the netting covering the squash & cukes so I got the trap out. Within minutes there were 2 more in the trap. It seems early, but maybe it's not.
I usually find them the beginning of July. Last year, I think I saw the first one on July 3.

I'm expecting to see them in the next week, the way everything is ahead of schedule here.

Hello!
I've lurked on this thread before and I know you guys are super knowledgeable. I love gardening and plants but I'm definitely an amateur, haha. Anyway, I was hoping you guys could give me some advice. I just found these dormant plant things at TSC for 75% off, making them like $2 a piece. I got five different things just for fun. Thing is I have no clue what to do with them for them to grow most effectively. Or at all. Do these things even survive usually? Should I start them in pots inside for a while? Keep them inside all the time? I live in Northern South Dakota, so we're zone 3-4. I think all the ones I got should be ok except possibly the blackberry. We have brutal winters here.
So... Here are pictures of the labels. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Some are already growing a bit.

I feel like I've been about the same time as you in years past, so maybe they really are early here. Maybe I'm a week ahead?

Thank you.
Here it's deer, cattle, and stable flies. Blood was actually running into my socks two nights ago. I forgot the spray.
It's insane.
They think OFF is a flavoring for people.
I spray my shoes with horse spray or cattle dip.
