Man, that’s too badToday I learned what a vine borer is, and why I've lost some pumpkin plants. Stupid me - it wasn't that long ago that I actually saw a vine borer in my garden, and in my innocence I thought to myself, "Oh, how pretty! I wonder what it is?"
I do absolutely nothing (even when it gets subzero temperature here) with my hollyhocks and they grow/multiply like weeds. I’m not even joking I had random ones start sprouting up in my yard away from the flower beds.I have a hollyhock seedling that came up where the old plant was. It's about 2 inches tall.
Is there a way to encourage it to grow a bit before the end of the season? How do I take it through winter?
They are just starting to have baby zucchinis.
