What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning gardeners. Still sprinkling outside. No plans for garden work today. I’m almost done preparing the garage for the stove pellet delivery. I uncovered the last pallet and realized I have 11 bags of pellets left. I checked with the vendor and they will be happy to move that pallet out of the way so they can place the full pallets tomorrow morning. That saves me from having to move those bags twice. That’s 440 pounds of pellets. I would like to check on my zucchini plant and see if the latest squash is ready for picking. One of my okra plants has 2 blossoms on it. Yay! Today is laundry and bread making. I’m jealous of your potato harvest @Acre4Me. Mine is not so abundant, however I recently read an article saying that a potato patch needs 3 to 4 years between planting them. I’ve only been waiting a year planting peas or beans in their place. So I guess I need to stretch mine out another year or two. I do like that you can your potatoes. Grocery store potatoes do not last long. When the fresh potatoes hit the market in September I’m thinking of buying and freezing as much as I can.
We like to have them handy -really easy to drain, rinse, then pan fry (just to brown them) or add to something else. Prep work done!

Well... The poultry wound spray DID NOT work for me as a mosquito spray... 😔 I doused myself TWICE to no avail. I was getting eaten alive so badly that I only lightly watered half the garden. Had to wash after coming back inside because I was so slimy and sticky from the spray. Started counting mosquito welts and quit after 20... 😫
I'm oozing stall spray at this point in the season.

Okay, so here are the pictures of my mystery squash. Anybody have any ideas??

Giant kale, red Asian Plums, and zucchini. Picking every other day has been time consuming. My Shiro (yellow) Asian plums is just beginning. We had rain yesterday, too early this summer, so many of the plums split. Good thing the season is at the end. Making juice out of those. Also had my amaryllis surprise bloom. Second time this year after it bloomed in the winter.
