What did you do in the garden today?

I turned the compost pile. It is totally ready. I could turn it with a shovel, it was the consistency and texture of soil. I'll put some in totes up in the green house for potting soil, and the rest will go in various places in the gardens.

I then turned the "collection pile" into the middle bin. And to think that the done pile looked like that about 2 months ago...

I did my least favorite job and cleaned the coop. 😑
I couldn’t put their new feeders in a dirty coop! 🥵 3 wheel barrows of pine shavings!
They still prefer behind the boxes to the nesting boxes! The meal worms in them in morning does seem to get some to lay there! 5 laid in boxes today! We got 19 eggs!! We have 23 hens.

I saw another young feral rooster in my front yard, I tried to catch it, and he ended up in my back yard. I chased him around my clementine tree about three times and he ended up flying over my back fence into my neighbor's yard. I hope he doesn't come back and jump on my hens while I am preparing them to breed with their father.

I bought a "waterproof" outdoor toolbox to keep in the garden area a few years ago. I kept twine, trimmers, etc in it. It was NOT waterproof like it claimed. And the sun broke down the plastic by the 2nd year. Lesson learned on that one...
