What did you do in the garden today?

I don't have a Greenstalk but I've read up on them. If I remember correctly you need to dump water into the top quickly, like pouring it out of a bucket. Creates some kind of vortex action I believe.
It does not slow drip. I have 2 of them, and if the soil gets too dry, or is not tamped down in each level, the water goes through the soil quickly. I plug the hole with my finger when filling. Sometimes, I'll put a scoop or two of soluble fertilizer in, then fill. Sometimes, I've had to run water into each level. I have both filled with strawberries.

I took a look at my garden and found that I have some work to do tomorrow. There are a few of the first of the yellow wax beans of the year ready, a couple of zucchinis and tomatoes.

I tried a small jalapeno pepper and it had ZERO heat. Didn't even have much of a jalapeno flavor.
I once grew a jalapeño called "Fooled You" with zero heat and all the flavor.

Pepper seed. I bought what I thought according to the label was multi-colored bell pepper seed, only to see 3 of the 8 plants I started were bell the rest were banana pepper plants. ☹️
Seems like there are more seed packing errors than ever. I bought 2 dahlia varieties this year and they look nothing like the package photo. I do like them both, though.

Does anyone want Egyptian Walking Onion sets? Yup, it's that time of year. I give them away.

Actually, it's a cult that I've started. Become an EWO convert! :lau

PM me your mailing address. I send them out First Class Mail, so PO Boxes are fine.
I love those. Left them when I moved away, and lost them. Moved back, and was given some in a trade last year.

I decided to plant my root bound potted ginger plant in the ground. That way I won't need to buy anymore ginger from the supermarket and I'll always have them on hand. I started using a lot of green onions and ginger lately.

Lucky you, wherever you are located to put them in the ground. I have to bring my pot inside for the cold months.

Turned the potato beds and found some that I'd missed. Sowed spinach and bok choy. Catching up on weeding. Picked zucchini and cherry tomatoes. Picked Greensleeves apples today, and a few straggler peaches. We may have enough to get 5 gallons of cider this year. It takes 20 lbs. to yield one gallon. Been picking flowers every few days.
