Hey!!! I just got back from my gardens... picked a zucchini, a pear, and some grapes and snap peas. SO GOOD!!! Have any of you heard of huglekulture? that is what we have! It works very well for plants. Bye!

But, who has a special 50-55° storage room for these? Scientists and warehouses. Garages here get too cold. How about you?

my garage is heated in the winter to 50' to keep it from freezing. OC I don't keep squash or food in it as the mice love the 50' winters.

@chickengr , now I'm frying some whole potatoes, all the little ones. From pea size to olive size.

Hey all. Nice weather out there. Pulled a couple spaghetti squash & the small tromboncino. Quite a few more of each left that aren't ready just yet.

Harvested a couple more dry bean pods, some basil seed stalks and some dill seeds today. The bees did good work pollinating this year! I need to look up what the oregano pods are supposed to look like when they’re ready.

I keep a dry mix next to the liquid mix and don't really see any ants going into the powdered mix. Maybe they die after they walk on it and can't tell other ants about it.

I put the dry mix on a piece of club cracker and the ants were all over it.

Sunday morning I weedwhacked around my tomatoes without eyewear on. STUPID. Was in the ER Sunday night with a scratched cornea. I know better than that. My tomatoes are almost done. Great year for them and frankly I'm sick to death of them. Cousins keep dropping off their extra maters good Lord. Juice!!!

What did the ER do? When I did this the eye DR the next day made sure nothing was still in and a mineral oil based gel. The next time some expensive drops that didn't work any better than the cheap gel.

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I have a method of doing hard boiled eggs that's fail proof peeling.

Hot start with cold or room temp eggs. Rolling boil, set eggs in using a spoon. Let water come back up to a boil then lower to gentle boil, set timer. No lid. 13 minutes for room temp eggs, 14 for cold eggs. When timer goes off put them in an ice bath or just run under cold water. Leave eggs in the water until you are ready to peel. Tap shells allllllllll over, then the shell pretty much slides right off. Just don't let them dry and you're golden.

I’ve tried 4 different methods that usually work for me - some are new like insta pot w an ice bath afterwards. All I can think is I need to let the eggs age like a couple of weeks b4 I do this - let them shrink some. That’s what I’m trying now.

Have you tried putting 1TBS of vinegar with 4 cups of water to boil the eggs.
