What did you do in the garden today?

My chickens are not terribly fond of tomatoes... At least not the normal sized ones. They didn't really eat grape tomatoes either...
same. my Hens dont care for tomatoes at all. I enjoy the spoon tomatoes being in our lives because i love to walk by all season and grab a couple. nom nom. same theory with the blueberries. stroll by, grab a couple. Such an easy plant and I love sharing my yard with them. They gave millions of little, lovely fruits and I grew them in a place where the wild birds could enjoy hangin' out. Bringing a little bowl of spoon tomatoes to events was always a great conversation when everyone wanted to see and talk about these lovely little red fruits that noone ever heard of! They do take a little while to harvest off the plant and I loved every second. Gosh, Is it almost Springtime yet?! :fl:bun:jumpy😘

Hey all. Nothing happening here, too cold to even go outside. 🥶 I wouldn't mind the wind & cold if we at least had some snow! Not a flake in sight.

My reds have picked up laying again. Good girls.

I need to start planning what I'm going to start indoors & go thru seeds. Not feeling very motivated though.

Same here: more eggs collected per day than during each day last month.

Also need to go through my seeds and notebook to see what I need to buy for next season.

I started getting into Galanga, it's like a ginger, but taste different. I bought a root from Ebay, and it has been growing in a container for more than 3 years. I found out that it supposed to alleviate arthritic pain, and it's considered a medicinal plant in Asia. I made a filtered tea or broth with chopped stem pieces of galanga, minced ginger, turmeric powder, cummin powder, coriander seed powder, bay leaf, dried chili pepper, chicken bouillon, salt, sugar and chicken bone broth. I used chili pepper because the capsaicin supposed to reduce blood pressure.
