What did you do in the garden today?

@TJAnonymous how is your area after all the storms?
Well, the flash flooding really did a number on the garden. Thankfully MOST of what I've got out are in raised beds that were unaffected. However, still have some damage to plants in the hoop house. Plus the flood waters pulled up my weed barrier in the walkways in both of hoop house and the outside in-ground garden. It tore up all the cardboard that I was using to kill weeds in the in-ground garden. There's probably more but I didn't have time to go through all of it. I'll take pictures later today when I get home.

I watered my peppers then put them on the south facing windowsill. They'll get to feel cool at night when the curtains are closed, and start getting used to natural sunlight. I plucked off around a dozen little flower buds.

And I need to make room under the grow lights for my tomatoes. Going to plant the seeds this week.

Wish I could do that! I have floor to ceiling windows on the entire SW facing wall, but the cats would decide those plants were their new litter box! Lol
I have a couple of parrot cages I put plants in when I had cat....now no cat and the ONION seeds I planted were plants about 6 inches tall when the MICE dug in them last year.

Glad only the garden was affected! Happily the tornadoes did not visit your area. At one point it appeared quite a bit if the south was covered with red tornado warnings.

While we did not get quite as much rain as predicted, we did get a lot, plus a few tornadoes of lower strength. But, it stopped raining here sometime last night. I drove around here today and lots of evidence of high water, areas still flooded, and apparently one of the top 10 flooding events in the past 100+ years (since a major water management initiative was put in place after massive flooding in early 1900s occurred). They had to activate flood gates in several communities here.
