Going to rain in a bit... I need to go feed tomatoes before it does...
Picked a peach this morning. Still feels like it's early but everything is mostly red/yellow on the tree so I'm guessing they will be ready within a week. The other peach tree is a different variety and still has a long way to go.
Well, the verdict is in. DH and I are likely going to try to move in the next year or so...
My ex-neighbor seems determined to build a subdivision behind my property. This will destroy our sense of seclusion. DH notified the city this morning though because dude has ZERO permits. He also has to go through zoning and planning... None of which he did. So we might have slowed down the inevitable for a short time but it will all happen eventually. If he was just putting ONE house back there, I wouldn't care. It's only 3 acres tops. But his greed is king and he wants to put in small lots to pinch out every cent he can get away... So we are going to move further out in the country somewhere. That means starting all over on my trees, asparagus, berries, grapes etc.... I guess the silver lining is that I can take my lessons learned and plan out a garden space a little more efficiently next time.
