The Blue Lake pole beans I planted last week are starting to break ground too. The beans I planted right next to the onions and shallots. I hope their companionship works out ok. LOL

That weed tea fertilizer I have rotting in the bucket sure stinks. My fingers still smell after washing several times. And the garden stinks when the wind blows the wrong way.

I side dressed the zucchinis and cucumbers this afternoon with Espoma organic fertilzer granules. That stuff stinks too...

The radishes were past their prime so the grandkids pulled them all up from their little gardens and fed them to the chickens.

And I have a lot of that red Russian kale to process sometime this week. I might try pressure canning this batch.

I never have. And I've never used my Goodwill $10 pressure canner before either. Figured it would be a good way to get my feet wet in the pressure canning world.

All my tomatoes are turning yellow, so I did NOT water. Not sure what's going on. Hoping they can recover and it's just all the rain we've had. They're still growing like weeds.

Happy Father’s Day to all you Dad’s on the thread. I got a bit accomplished on the garden work today. The temperatures were low and dry with a nice breeze occasionally I sprayed the grapevines with neem oil. They are looking really looking good. The San Marzano tomato plants appear to be getting over their transplant shock. I put cages on all of them today. And I have over 2 dozen onions coming up there. I got a little weeding done and worked on training the peas to grab the strings. No sign of the Lima beans yet. They like really warm temperatures so hopefully they will come up soon. I did get some weed whacking today and plan on grass mowing and more weed whacking tomorrow. On the subject of property taxes: in Massachusetts the property tax is based more on the size of the lot your house is on. I pay nearly $5k in taxes annually for a 1 bedroom cottage on .6 acres of land. Property values are based on whatever the going market would pay for that. I think that's obscene. JMHO! Lol!
