What did you do in the garden today?

It's been my experience that whatever conclusion is drawn by the 'researcher' doing the research is usually based on an in going bias of the 'researcher'.
How many times in the last 20 to 30 years has the same chicken egg that has existed forever flip flopped between good and bad based on 'research'.
Butter vs margarine.... I quit eating either.... well except sweet corn. Just doesn't taste the same with olive oil. Although I use butter from goats nowadays.

Exactly lol I will use mine too. Just used it in fact. How else am I supposed to heat up leftovers??????? On the stove? In a pan? That take forever AND isn’t possible for some leftovers LOL
Too many supposed experts looking for ways to install a fear, any fear, amongst people. Some concerns are viable but many, if not most, are the equivalent of quackery. You can fret over ever little bit of 'research' and do everything perfectly but you'll end up dead anyway. As for quality of life, well, being concerned over everything espoused by some unseen research concern located somewhere on the planet doesn't strike me as a quality life.

It nearly always turns out that the research brains overshoot and mislead. I have never looked at butter as being the boogey man. Margarine, the great saviour of our heart health, not so much a saviour now.

Added pellets to the chicken run.
DH removed a snake from one of the field traps (you have to be a Darwin award winner as a snake to get caught in one of these traps, sigh)
The littles are out running amok.
The ragweed is winning in the garden, thanks Scotts mulch Co.
The mowing took me 5 hours at top speed.
Sunburned and eyes on fire.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How difficult/time consuming is bee keeping?
Here, it's super expensive, as hives only have a 50% chance of living through the spring, and then only 50% of those make it past wax moth season or raiding season.
It can be as expensive as you make it.
I didn't find it time consuming.
Unless you collect swarms on your own, a nuc will cost 150-280$ each.

I think they don't count it as sugar or it's so much sweeter that just a little is used. But it's probably worse than sugar in any case.
Yeah, but it's the potato vs po-tat-o argument. I still find it deceptive marketing. They do the same thing with MSG and other bad stuff.

I read a few days ago that Texas passed a law to outlaw like 40 food preservatives and chemicals that are outlawed in pretty much the rest of the world. Given that it's not feasible for food companies to manufacture separately for Texas, it means we will get some real clean up on our food supply chain... 👏 I just want them to stop hiding toxic and industrial waste in my food and trying to hide it under names no average person recognizes or knows what it really is...
