Our rural routes are brutal in the winter.

Yeah, there are some days we don't get mail in the winter.

Our mail carrier is great. I would rather have stuff mailed than come by UPS or FedEx.

I am fighting to keep currants alive! those I planted last year all died.

That’s crazy bc where I am they grow like weeds! We had rain every day last month and it’s a jungle out there!

If you have a blacklight, go out at night and shine it on your tomatoes. The hornworms glow. Take a jar to put them for your chickens breakfast!

We were going to do that last night and got distracted by fireworks! Maybe tonight!

I haven’t purchased fireworks in years bc we usually go out to watch BIG fireworks.

They also sell a chaser that has a chicken on it!

At this moment DW is cursing at the Horn Worms that are being dropped in a coffee can of Kerosene. On the tomatoes but she'll go over all the plants. Early find so it's good.

Yes, but they are awfully noisy. While my neighbors aren't close enough to see in the windows of my house, they are close enough that guineas would cause a lot of trouble... My chickens do visit one neighbor who puts out bird feeders in her back yard. Thankfully she doesn't get upset that my chickens come to raid whatever scraps hit the ground... Still, I'm always worried that they will be seen as a nuisance. I don't want bad blood across the fence line.

Kinda like me with the goji and huckleberries... Instead of wasting money trying to get seeds to grow, I may bite the bullet and buy established plants. Need to figure out if I'm going to end up moving first.
