What did you do in the garden today?

I use cattle panels and love them. If that's not an option for you I know some people use the Florida weave method..I've never done it but it might be worth looking into?
Can’t speak to how well they would work with tomatoes but I love my cattle panel trellis for the melons so far.

I’ve seen Youtube videos on the Florida Weave and that might be more cost effective if you’re doing a large garden.

I’ve been growing SM tomatoes for 6 years now. I had early blight once so I did a big rotation in the garden and the next year they were fine. This is my first year with a pretty much total loss but that is weather related. Actually half the plants I put in the ground are making a comeback. I have to cut back on watering with the sprinklers since we’ve got less than an inch of rain in the last 26 days. I can carry water to most of the plants that are still viable and hope they continue to produce something.

Oh yeah and my chickens are molting. At least two are. I found so many feathers in one of their dust bath areas that I immediately went to count chickens to make sure I didn't lose one to a hawk. Then I looked in the coop... You'd think I'd never cleaned it because of all the feathers. 🤣🥴
Most of my turkeys roost in the trees. A few days ago as they were getting down there was feathers floating everywhere. I thought one had been attacked over my head 😔

Another gallon of raspberries was picked. I still have bumble bees buzzing around looking for flowers in there too. I should be getting raspberries for another few weeks yet. Oddly, I have a bed of strawberries quite large, that is half one variety and half another. half of it died completely this summer. I'm not sure if I will replant or use the space for something else.

And I grow about 60 plants, so $50 each is not possible for me.

I'm thinking about putting some T posts in and then tying cages to it with wire.
Yeah. If someone is just growing 2-4 plants then it would makes sense to buy something that will last a long time but once you get into actually growing a decent amount of plants it isn’t a financially viable option. Like I’ve heard this cage is is great but $60 for 2 (when it isn’t half off like right now) is a lot
