What did you do in the garden today?

While still eyeing the ten day forecast, I found something new to fret about in regards to my melons! They haven’t shown any netting yet. I, admittedly, don’t know when that is supposed to occur, but they’re about softball sized now and I was expecting at least some sign of it. I hope that’s just due to the late season and general cool weather and not some kind of deficiency. 😖

Didn't get to the garden today. Had to take the middle grandson to the orthopedic doctor to get the cast removed. The doctor was absolutely rude and didn't even introduce himself. I told my son and daughter in law about it. The arm is still broken and he just acted like there's nothing wrong with my grandson s arm. Then of course my husband's mother decided she needed sympathy so she had to go to the hospital and of course I had to go pick her up and take her home. If anyone ever met her they would probably just walk away from her. It's really bad when your grandchildren will only call you by your first name.
You make me grateful that I had the best inlaws ever, and that they lived 3000 miles away! Lol

Any idea how much it costs to make nut butter? ingredients only ...not including machine and time.

I do yoga stretches to help with the plantar fasciitis.
Glad you're ok from your trip 🫂
No idea. I just use mixed nuts from a jar I have on hand. 3 cups of nuts makes a pint jar full. I love nuts but I can not eat many or I poo myself. I noticed peanut butter does not do that so easy. I concluded the fine grind of nut butter makes digesting them easier. I add a teaspoon of honey and a tablespoon of butter. Nice and creamy. I run the processor about 5 minutes to get it creamy.

Yes too many nuts is regrettable. My handful is 3 or 4 servings, about all I can digest at one time.... but I want to eat many handfuls 😂

I had a 2 pack of cheap Menards blue tarps sitting out in the sun with some other stuff. Gloves, bungee magnetic strobe light. The container they were stored in had mice but the tarps were in the clear plastic with no damage.
I came out, found the clear plastic and biggest tarp missing. Teeth marks in the other tarp.
Found it halfway stuffed down a ground hog hole 🕳️ under the deck.

It's pretty much trashed 😕

Been busy with life, teetering between if I will have a job or not. Plan on starting to put the main garden to bed as I am about done with cherry tomatoes for a long while. Did put some mulch down around one of my cherry trees, might as well get them ready for the closing season, also need to get my hot box put together and some fall crops in the ground.
