What did you do in the garden today?

You can also make jelly from no sugar added juice from the juice row at the grocery.
I wouldn’t go that way. I really prefer to use local sources for canning stuff. But I am really excited about making apple cider jelly. I’m sure the flavor has to be more intense using cider as the base.

What is this? Google Lens says guava but obviously that can’t be right LOL 🤣😭🤔

That looks like a walnut. They have a thick hull over the shell. The hull breaks down and rots. At that point, they will make a great stain for wood. And your hands. Ask me how I know this! :lau
Huh! Interesting! I didn’t realize they were green! Thanks! It’s really hard too lol

What on earth is a bindii... Oh okay. Ew!

"Bindii dermatitis is a form of irritant contact dermatitis resulting from injury by the seed of the bindii weed."

Does this happen a lot? Is it nasty for ground-foraging birds as well?
I can't say I've heard of bindii dermatitis but I have experienced itching after treading on a ripe patch. It's a pretty annpying part of summer here as most councils don't spray parks and areas adjoining beaches. Birds aren't bothered by it but dogs aren't keen on it. Very modern mowing companies also wear slip-on show covers to protect their clients' lawn from bindii.

I run a tight shipwreck
I'm halfway to nuts
New cover on the greenhouse installed -kinda?
While ducks run amuck
Spilled the goat's milk down the stairs🙄

At least the garden is still making fresh greens
My car squeaks to much
And the freaking dog scares the poop
Out of a delivery driver. 😬

And l love my family and friends too Evventually I'll grow up
Just like the greens I'm sprouting
To working, cleaning, & cooking.
Maybe l'm a little off my rocker
But perhaps things are just they are
Meant to be.
