What did you do in the garden today?

Great looking salsa! Nice and red. So is it you that freezes your tomatoes before making salsa with them, or was it someone else here?

I put 5 gallon buckets over two habanero plants to save them if it frosts tonight. 37 degrees is predicted, and that's low enough to be wary.
Thanks! It is me! It's just so much easier to get it done when it cools down like now instead of the heat of summer. Plus, it seperates all the tomato water from the tomato, so not as much cook down time. 37 is definitely a temp to be wary with! We are having such a a late fall. We should've already had a freeze and haven't even had a frost. I'm grateful

Well, I said I wasn't going to do it...

But given how few eggs I'm getting and the high number of flock loss this year, I've broken down and put a dozen eggs in the incubator.

If I get any hens :fl, they'll be laying by spring.

I can't believe I'm doing this...

Good luck with your hatch, hope you get a lot more girls than roos!

What a good soul you are! I have a friend that I TNR ferals with in our area. If kittens we find fosters etc.. adults we release back after fixing and have a feeding station for them. It's very rewarding, heartbreaking at times and always learning to expect the unexpected!
I cant thank you enough for doing what you do. I absolutely appreciate you. It is hard to continually break your own heart. Some days are really hard. But they usually end up being the best after you make it through. ♡
So glad to know you 🙂

Mine varies but it usually is around this recipe:
30 C tomatoes, 5 1/2 C chopped mixed hot n bell pepper, 6 C chopped onions, as much garlic as your heart says, 1 bunch cilantro, 2 TBsp Cumin & black pepper or more depends on how you like it. 1 tsp of Cayenne powder for a little extra zip, 3 C vinegar or if you don't like vinegar you can do citric acid in each pint jar, cook down to consistency you prefer or use 1 can tomato paste to thicken. I let mine cook until the flavor is right and can in pints for 15 minutes with 1/2 " head space. P.S. the secret ingredient is listening to old country while making it like Conway or Patsy.
Thank You, you’re so kind to share.

I’m a little nervous, this morning I was dazzled by this large yellow object in the sky and am concerned the earth may be under attack. Does anyone know what this object might be?
Probably somthing the government is controlling.
