What did you do in the garden today?

congrats! that's a miracle these days.
Thank you. It seems like the way to a marriage is knowing you have the option of a divorce. I told my husband that I wanted to get chickens and he said well we have the money so go ahead. When I told him I got ducks he said well at least you were the one that was able to save the money. Our kids think I'm crazy but at least they don't see it as I'm insane. My husband wants to go do something and I'm just like go ahead I'm not your mom or your keeper, I'm your wife and I stand by you not behind or under. That's what we do. It doesn't work for everyone but at least it works for us.

They sell cordless lawn mowers at Walmart, Lowes and Home Depot...........
I have a mix of corded and cordless tools. If there is no way a tool will be far from the house I’ll do corded. Anything with the possibility of being used far from the house will be cordless or engine driven. Cordless means eventual battery repurchase.

We have the Ryobi riding mower (electric), rechargeable. piece of shit, been in the shop more than its mowed the lawn. Finally replaced all 4 of the batteries it came with to lithium batteries and working great now, and holding a charge finally. Was really disappointed cuz we have Ryobi everything and they've always been great. Maybe cuz we bought it when they first came out and they hadn't worked the kinks out yet?
Ryobi tends towards homeowner use. I bought a circular saw from them once and after a bit of use the trigger failed, never bought another Ryobi ever. My go to is Dewalt.

My original DeWalt can't use the new battery

Works for us too.... coming up on 35 together, and a military marriage to boot. If that doesn't break you...good grief, you're golden.

I raked the side yard and hauled a tarp full of leaves down to the garden. I had to mind the burn barrel, so raking was a good way to stay warm and get something done.
We burn leaves as well. We feel its a way for us to share the fall scent of burning leaves with the neighbors. Funny we never get any Thank You notes though.
