What did you do today?

Got up after 7 am. Fed the dog and the chicks. Went to a couple farms for their pumpkin celebrations. Both farms had animals including chickens and at one of the farms one hen with 3 chicks less than a week old. Got home around noon and started doing more work on the chicken coop/ trailer. I finished it around 7pm tonight (well enough to get the chicks moved in). So finally it is nice to get the chicks out of the house after 4 weeks!!. I hope they do fine out there i do have the brooder light on them. We have had frost the last few nights. I keep sneaking out there and peaking in the window at them.

Yes. It's very horse oriented. The city does a very good job of making sure it stays that way, too. All new business construction must have a "barn" or "western" style to it, there are public arenas (we have a very nice covered arena and the PRCA rodeo comes to Norco, even), there are hitching posts outside of a lot of the businesses, all the neighborhoods have dirt trails instead of sidewalks... You get the idea! Actually, here is a picture of my house and you can see the dirt trail is very nice and well maintained.

We went to the Duke women's Blue/White scrimmage game. All I can say is watch out March cause we are a comin'. My DD loves B-ball herself and if she could have been on the floor with the Blue Devil Women she would have. She was very intently watching them.

Well yesterday the usual, get up before sunrise & drink several XLg cups of coffee.

Just before the crack of dawn, feed the cats, open the coop doors. Help the extremely spoiled BO's off the roost.

CariBrown, thanks for the pic, it looks really nice. I heard about Norco about 20 years ago, and always wondered what its like.
In my neighborhood, everyone's property has a 20 foot setback. So it makes it easier not to ride on the road. However, on my street they drive 50+ in a 30mph zone, and some of the yahoos honk when they go by a horse.
Norco sounds real nice. Karen

Monday. Fed the horses, let the chickens out. Let the dogs out. Took care of the finches, and made a skirt for the cage to keep the seeds off the floor. Cleaned the lanai, picked up the house. Sat with my chickens. Took a nap. Fed the dogs, horses, and took the chickens their oatmeal suprise. DH made dinner, got on the computer. Will read a bit and go to bed.

Took my son to the doctor. Has bronchitis.

Tried to take the motorcycle to pick up his prescription, but the battery was dead. My jumper box was not charged either, so I pouted about that while I drove my gas guzzler 5.2 liter V8 jeep to get his meds. ( I really hate driving the jeep alone, seems like such a waste of money.) I got home, helped my boy do his make up homework and read for awhile. Now I am going to get off the computer and watch my favorite shows. Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmerman, and No Reservations With Anthony Bourdaine.

i went to school (kinda exciting) and then got out of school walked to a store bought chips and a monster drink went back to school wated for ma mom to pick me up then i got home and went on the computer...

I hurt my back yesturday so DH called in to work so he could stay home and help out with the kids and house. I wanted to do things but I have just been laying on the couch watching the chicks in there brooder (yes they are in my livingroom). I made pizza for dinner and now I'm drinking my coffee reading posts. Back pain sucks. I hope it goes away soon.
