What did you do today?

woke up to dog fight happening over my face. got bit by chihuhua on my lip from under the covers. i felt like i was on i love lucy or candid camera. was that really happening?

hauled hay, refilled pond and grained. chickens stood in a line when they saw me get the hose. they love to peck and drink in the water when it overflows the baby pool. they know exactly which way the water will run and line up like chilren in line for a saturday matinee.

just looked outside and nanny goat is in old blue recliner i put outside for her. she loves to sit on furniture. lol.

anyway. made sure all animals safe then left for work. bought security light for goat area today to help ward off future attack. planning on getting bb gun tomorrow. tried to install light but i am just too short.

will go get taller ladder tomorow.

when i got home, gave second feeding and made the rounds. no new injuries, etc. goat is up and walking on leg.

knew it was seven pm when some chickens flew up into their space in the tree. then ground chickens went into wood pile. so the evening began.

tonight, will go out and have tea with goats and duck before bedtime to wind down.

whats a work routine lolol.lets see i get up read board some.then water the cows.an feed the bull if he is waiting on feed.then i let the hens out.an tend to them.then i check the cows salt an minerals.an lastly lock the hens up for the nite.

So far today, I woke up around 4:30am could not go back to sleep. Decided to just get up out of bed around 5:30 and make some coffee. After a while I got Harley ready for school and took him. Came home and watched the movie Fly Boys. It was ok. Worked on my motorcycle for awhile, walked next door to my grandparents house to see how my grandfathers pond is coming along. Now it is almost time to go get Harley and take him to town to TRY and find a Halloween costume. Then he is going to the fall festival at the church. AND THEN I will be able to go to sleep.
I think I need more coffee.

Today is Halloween so OBVIOUSLY i had to wake up at 4:00 and not get back to sleep

We had a half day at school so as soon as I got home we picked up two beautiful additions to our flock:
Penelope (Eeaster Egger) CUTE CHEEKS!
Brenda (Buff Orpington)

Then my mom and I carved jack'o'lanterns and we just painted my nails black for my costume.
Tonight I go trick-or-treating with a friend. I am an evil Sorceress.

Got up at 7am--COLD, got the kids off at 7:50. Had coffee with DH. Called AT&T to say they made a mistake when listing our business phone, it's New York Pizza Depot, not New York Pizza DIVA. (I'm not sure if I like the image that conjures up.)

Brought the baseboards to the new pizzeria that should open next week before I go completely broke.
Stopped at Wally world, they had NO pumpkins. Maybe I'll try to carve a butternut squash?

Watching Olivia bounce on the trampoline. The rest of the kids will be home at 3:45

Still have to get the kids fed, get them in their costumes, go to Grandmas to Trick or Treat. Lets see if we can top the 25 lbs of candy we got last year. Then I'll start dh's cheesecake, tomorrow is his birthday.

Wish I didn't have a migraine.

First I let the cats out, feed the chickens and the dog and uncovered the bird cage. Then I cut 48 pounds of fresh soap into 180 bars.

Ate breakfast (grilled cheese)...checked BYC...ordered soap supplies...checked BYC...went to the post office, dollar general then walmart...checked BYC. Now I'm half cleaning my office and half checking BYC. Y'all are addicting!!!

Went to bed last night at 11:00 and woke up at 2:30 am this morning. Left for work about 8:45 and have been sitting at my computer at work all day trying not to fall asleep and getting absolutely NOTHING accomplished! UGH! Can't wait for 5pm!!
I SO envy everyone that gets to stay home!!!

Today I got a job! It is 1/2 mile from my house and it's only two days a week, but I choose when to go in. Retirement is wonderful, but sometimes I need to get out with other people. Friday is my first day.
