what did you do with your first egg?

Did you eat it? I'm thinking about blowing mine out. Anyone else do that? Am I weird lol.

Our first egg was breakfast! It was an eye opener too, how good it was. I did preserve 2 last eggs from a couple chickens, and they're in my special animal corner. So go ahead and blow it out. You won't be weird. At least, not any weirder than the rest of us

I blew mine out and have it set on a shelf. A friend of mine bought me a couple hens so I gave her one of their first eggs, she was thrilled!!

Our first chicken egg we had, me and my mom fought over about who was going to be the first to eat it because, we where scared about if it was sanitary. lol that's when we just started the whole chicken obsession thing. But needles to say it was the best egg we ever eat!!

I just got egg number two! Excited. It was in the same spot, where both brown ones hang out to stay cool. No idea who laid it... I'm gonna go out there tomorrow about 4 pm and hang out till I see who's laying lol. Slightly darker and perfect in shape. still on the small side.

I blew out my first (quail) egg, but I didn't have much choice since my son dropped it right after we found it. I think I will blow out my first chicken egg too, tho. There's something special about raising a tiny chick (or hatching an egg), feeding it and caring for it and watching it grow, then having it give you something back for the first time (well, besides love, of course). I don't think it's wierd at all to want to preserve that. But all bets are off for the second egg, that baby's getting cooked up! Lol!
