What did you do with your flock today?

@PopoMyers how is the rest of your flock doing? Worms and parasites effect your whole flock. So keep an eye on them. May not have been the issue but no way to tell w/o looking and even then.. don't know what if you will find anything.
How are you doing? Tuff loss of a very pretty girl ♡♡♡ To take care of emergencies when you are an emergency yourself must have been tuff. Sorry you had to go through that.

I hope today ends on a better note.

Oh @PopoMyers she's beautiful and that breathing .... she looks alot like my Lizzy did when she was sick but poop wasn't the same. Sure hope u r getting help on BYC in emergency thread!
I'm glad u are healing and your DH is able to assist you with the babies!

@TropicalBabies I am so glad u brought up spurs!!! Hope Spider heals up well from losing his! Does he act like he's in pain from it?
Reason I'm glad u brought it up is cuz Joey's are so long and sharp and I wonder if that's part of the reason the girls scream when he comes near. I mean that's gotta hurt! And if yall could see my own legs you'll ageee...it ridiculous 🙄

@FBMcrazy8 we got more storms heading in now...we hit 86 yesterday so I knew it was bound to happen. Supposed to get down to 46 tonight...glad I'm still carrying my 100 tomato plants everywhere I go lolol!
Glad yall survived the storms....sorry you had a family members place get hit. Ya never know what the weather is gonna do and usually the skilled folks try but...yeah
Basically it. I’m just glad we had plenty of time time get everyone where they needed to be. I would have thought had to have hoped someone would have returned my animals if they made it. I would have better luck with my goats than I would my ducks or chickens. Though I only know one person in the area that has Calls so that should be pretty easy too…if they weren’t to fly too far anyway. And then catching them would be interesting 🤣. I hope you all continue to stay safe!!

My dh's daughter and young ones are in town. Beautiful to see the babies though the toddler is a handful. Bless his cute little heart, he terrorizes everything... especially the chickens. Good news is my locks are to high for him to reach so after a few chases the chickens get to "go take a nap" in the run, which I then lock. Also the ONLY time I am glad we don't have a skirt on our raised home so the chooks can easily escape the little marauder.

The weather is back to being wonderful. I am currently watching the moon set and the sunrise at the same time. Just magical. Especially since the coffee is good.
Low on feed so gotta do a small run to my unfavorite store cuz my favorite was out. Don't like switching feeds 😞. Try catch up on bags and watch chickens while getting sabotaged by kitties. That's the plan.... guess I will see how that plays out lol

At least though he isn’t scared. My niece was chased by my “dads” rooster and she is now scared of EVERY chicken. I did get her to pet my little Cochins though. I’m glad that your chickens though have break from the little one! 😊

I’m still stuck on my 2nd bag. For the life of me I can not figure out what is going on with my sewing machine. I think I’m gonna try to just add material to the inside of the bags to see if that would at least help.

Thank you for your sympathy. I am doing ok, just a little sad. I am concerned about how her buddy Lani will do without her. They were raised together. I got them as rescues. All my friends here have been so helpful and supportive to each other, and for you, I am grateful.
As advised, will worm the rest when I get a drier day. Valbazen on bread. Have to devise a better way of making sure all get dosed. Many of them are not easily wrangled, and with only one hand...not sure I want to stress them out with a fishnet. In hindsight, Pua may not have gotten a chance at the dose the last time they were dewormed. I have never given Corid to the flock. Do you think I should? Evidence of more bloody poops before she died.

What is happening with your machine? I am finding that my needle had to be changed, so now I'm using one for denim. Also, the bag doesn't want to advance evenly, so have had to guide it through. I might try putting masking tape or something on the bottom of the foot and on the plate for more traction.et us know how the material works. Of course, I won't be making them again until summer or later. One handed won't work too good.
