Glad you like chatting and hanging with your doctor. It is always good to have someone you actually look forward to seeing. Mine is like that and she is very good. Such a bonus to have a one stop shop.

Thank you! Funny story...the first 3 hens we had were because I thought my husband would NEVER agree to chickens, I was angling for a puppy...ask big and "settle", lol. Now, we have 2 dogs (our Lab we had passed away), 2 new cats (our cat in my profile pic and our other cat both passed away as well), we even have 2 kids that we didn't have when we started!

Tonight, my guy (who wants nothing to do with building any of it or taking care of more chickens has offered to go drop $100+ on more lumber so that we don't have to piece our supporting beams together! He's a keeper for sure!

It sounds like the new adventure is starting!

Princess Peaches' mom is a Light Brahma and her pops is a Ameraucana x silkie the color of chocolate, who is a bit of a butthead and Peaches takes after him but it somehow transferred over to a girl much better, like she def has her opinions and sticks up for herself but she is my sweetest most thoughtful. And she beats up on Bolt which is pretty funny and awesome to watch but as you can see... she somehow prefers him.

He gets sequestered for about 1 hour in the mornings and eves cuz he causes too much trouble for the flock at those times.

Thank you BUT they are actually still 8mo dorks. They don't have that super cool rooster thing going on and may never till Spider lets them lol.

Holy cow look at that! 3 hens in 3 boxes. Usually it is 1 hen in 1 box and 5 outside screaming for her to hurry or 2-3 piled on top of each other in one box while the rest scream outside of the one box lol.
The girls gave me 11 (out of 12) eggs today. I was able to post an add and sell a few 18 packs to off set feed costs. Awesome!

Nothing but clean and feed and water today... and collect eggs

I usually get enough money through them month selling them I can pay for the food. This was taken at closing the coop last night. Smudge with his ladies. There is second roost can barely see one black bird there

Today was uneventful but still fun! Tina and Chloe (two of my pullets) have started to fight over who gets to ride in my hand when I feed them, and my pekin ducklings have gotten over their little colds.
I also sent off for a batch of call ducks, and I'm having to do final prep work for the buff goslings I have coming in
