I'm so happy DH came around. This is going to be awesome.
Now off to cut their pop door and reinstall run fence.
We dismantled and removed my old broody coop and I have found a home for it. So, moving right along and may be ready for July 4th getaway!

Roses are my absolute favourite flower. When I had a large garden in the country, I had 183 varieties. Now I only have a handful due to space issues. I have more at our allotment which look good at the moment. I'll get some pictures later. Here's one I only planted in a pot last year, a strong colour but it absolutely glows in the evening light:

If I mentioned this anywhere else, people would think/know that I'm crazy.

My chickens were down in the compost area next to the woods, and I brought my camping recliner chair down there. With a beer and a little 1/4 size Iron Man guitar I bought at Goodwill for 8 bucks. I played classic rock songs for my chickens for about an hour.

At first they acted confused. And then they kicked back and relaxed, listening to the tunes. Maybe it's crazy, but I think the music soothed them.

We outfitted more pullets late this afternoon with saddles. 2 of the jumbo cornish x rock pullets and 5 I think Delaware girls. Those big girls about wore me down holding them while my wife did the fitting. Took some pictures of them before getting the fitting of the ones that got the new cowgirl type denim chaps. If the photo computer will finish updating this century I'll post them.

This makes me wonder that if I can get a recording of coon dogs running coons and play it at night if it will keep those murdering thieves away from my chickens?

So much easier than starting from scratch. And we got to get rid if a bunch of junk too. Bonus. Think it was 40- 50 yr old orange shag carpet in it. Lots of yuck (and spiders) but it sure has potential.
