Funeral services. I'm so antisocial... also, not looking forward to the loss of control. Maybe there will be some as I do love dhs family.... they are just kind of exhausting for me.
To make myself feel better, I ordered some new Tshirts for me to wear. Want to look ok as I sweat the days away.
Maybe find one in black for services . That and Jean skirt.... done. Then can trash them with yard and chicken duties after.

Funerals are always sad.
If it makes you feel better, hubby and I both love our in-laws but find each other's a little stressful when visiting. Even perfect visits feel a little stressful . Easier when they live near by and no disruption of the normal flow of life's involved .

Piggies doing well out in the dirt. Think I forgot to post that it took him like a minute to do his business once outside. Poor baby must have been holding it even if it was a huge crate.
Treating hims going ok. He's willing to walk into the little crate so I can get it done without too much ado.
Definitely think he was raised as livestock. Not a pet piggy for sure.

That cemani is a pretty boy I didn't breed many cemani before I decided I didn't want to keep the breed. I ended up giving away all of them. But I didn't have any with leakage...they were all pure jet black. If you decide to keep him and breed him, hope you post pics of his babies down the road!

I have some that are actually really pretty (his brothers and sisters). He just didn’t get the good end of the beauty stick (as far as the leakage). I sold one of his brothers a few weeks ago. I have one more boy that is his brother. The other 2 boys are for sure not going anywhere. I may keep both of the brothers though. I will have to see how well this all turns out. This is his brother though.

I cracked open three eggs for breakfast and ended up with five yolks. Two doubles!

Very nice! I had a pullet or two do that, eventually the doubles stopped.

Good morning gang!
Just got finished with my first round of chicken and kitty chores and now wait for coffee. The weather is nice, good breeze.

After a good oil yestermorn, my machine sewed a perfect bead, so I was back in buisness, again.
Today will be much of the same. Then I will head down to help AJ clean her house and do some yard work, go to nice man's house and dose his kitties that were missed on the first round -he does not think real clear, so it is a challenge we have to get through- but I must say I look forward to not having to head down the mountain as much as I have had to this last week...
In less than one week the difference seen in NM's colony They now come out and wait at the feeding stations I started earlier, not so much skimbering and scattering of the starving ♡. The kitties I had trapped last week are showing up and looking a bit fatter already. Gotta see this one through. Hopefully, my next trapping will be easier and of healthier kitties ♡

One more week till dh's family starts flying in etc. Gotta get 3 messy houses spotless, cars, yards etc. Gunna be a stressor. Good news is the chickens are fabulous ♡

Omg look at them!!! They are so cute!!! I want a bachelor flock but I don’t know…we are still building the breeding pens. They are cute. And really only one rooster is becoming problematic.

I miss seeing all your beautiful photos!!! I’m ready for a vacation.

I’m glad you got your bags going again! I have gotten some compliments on mine so I’m pretty happy about that. I am using yours for some of my sewing stuff. I just love it!

One of my cockerels tried to kill the other yesterday, so it moved on to be with a more experienced chicken keeper. So far, the single little rooster with the eight hens seems to be a happy little flock.

I guess the stress from the fighting yesterday evening, and the constant crowing made three of the hens so anxious that they layed eggs without shells this morning. But I also got 4 good eggs, so 7 out of 8 laid today. Might have to start selling eggs when the start coming out full size.

Glad he found a new flock. I had to put one of mine in rooster jail because he wasn’t behaving. It worked for him. I haven’t done that yet with my babies but one for sure is about to head that way. Hoping to find them new homes soon.

K. I've been getting rained out for the last 2 hours. Putting a small damper on my list of things to do but man it is nice!

What is my list? Finish picking up piles of green waste, cut more bags and ride motorcycle down the mountain to do more chores
Cabin roof leaks right on my cutting table.... yes, I moved it.
