Yeah, they can be pretty cute sometimes. :3 I’ve never been a huge fan, but that might change if they keep getting friendlier.

We have excessive heat here like we have never had here birds are in rough shape

Everyone got watermelon. The faverolles barely touched theirs, but everyone else loved it, as usual.

I gave mine corn fozen and green beans they also loved standing on the corn

I picked a bunch of tomatoes and cabbages in the garden and threw out a couple handfuls of spoiled cherry tomatoes. The guineas and chickens went nuts over them.

Sorry about the temps gang but you all have some good ideas to chill the flock out. Wow, it is usually me worrying and complaining about the temps. Fleeing to the mountain has been the best decision I have made in a long while- so far... hope all stays well up there. Down here at 9' above sea level seems to be ok temp wise too. Nothing tragic but I only have 2 young pullets, 3 cockerels and 20 chicks and the young things seem to tolerate much better. The trees I planted are doing their thing and giving lots of cooling shade- did not have that a few years back- Also chooks have a heap of room with the main flock gone.

Up the mountain I expanded the size of the run, at least doubling it. I found a bunch of awesome mulch and grabbed a few rubbish cans full for todays entertainment. Attached the nest box back onto the mini coop after scooting it South.

Down here I have two people coming to buy chicks.

Gotta take my son to go get his second shot now. Aloha all.

So out doing chicken chores for the sea level flock, it is warm so I put out sprinklers. I notice my little Buff Braham clicking like Peter Pans crocodile. A broody!!!! Well, at least they have been mating with the ever so dorky Earl for the last 2-3? weeks and there would be a chance of 100% BB's Not sure what to do yet... Have a gal wanting BB's ASAP. Oh what to do... think, think, think. May try to move her up Koke'e where it is cooler for her to sit. Maybe that is the answer?

We all get to certain age and things get harder. Realized I am 20 big birds that is okay.. go up today firgure out who is staing and who is going of my hatch.
