Here's hoping Onyx picks up again soon

My lot won't touch nasturtiums. Now, supposedly toxic sweet peas on the other hand...

Seems she has off and on days. I never know until I see her in the mornings. She roosted the past couple nights, and is actively seeking out treats, though she hangs back from the crowd. As a lone survivor out the 4 chick brood, she is alone, but middle of the pecking order.

Sam disappeared last Wednesday. I have a sinking feeling he became a bobcat's dinner. A nearby neighbor saw their cat attacked and taken by one recently, and could not thwart the bob. I have the neighborhood on lookout. Missing my sweet boy.

Loving the fruit. Will bring some up for chooks tomorrow.
Snapped a photo of sunset colour's while at one of my stations. Last eves sights and smells of dried grass, ocean and plumeria were particularly wonderful. Looking forward to this eves feeding.

Have them fresh water and they fight over the puddle lol

Mine do the same thing whenever I turn on the soaker hose and it puddles in their dirt bath holes.

Sam disappeared last Wednesday. I have a sinking feeling he became a bobcat's dinner. A nearby neighbor saw their cat attacked and taken by one recently, and could not thwart the bob. I have the neighborhood on lookout. Missing my sweet boy.

So sorry to hear this!!! I hate when they disappear and we just know a predator has struck.

Oh no! So sorry to hear Sam is missing
Hopefully he is fine somewhere and on his way home

What is it with cats this weekend? My Elliot has been poorly. He started vomiting Thursday night. Not unusual for him as he lacks certain digestive enzymes and has very sensitive digestion. And the bowel resection he underwent 10 years ago also impacts him. The odd bout of vomiting after food is normal for him but this continued into Friday. Only after meals and he hasn't seemed ill. Then yesterday morning, after over 20 hours without being sick, he vomited fresh blood and now seemed off-colour.
Straight to the vet to check he wasn't bleeding internally or in immediate danger. He wasn't and he's back in the morning for bloodwork and other tests. As he's looking a bit thinner than usual but doesn't seem unwell, I'm dreading a cancer diagnosis.

So sorry to hear about Elliot. How old is he? Our geriatric pets live long lives, and seem to have some of the same health issues that we do. He is getting the best love and care from you.

I chuckle when I read some posts that effectively say they try to keep the chicken's food and treats from getting dirty. I don't even try anymore. They drink out of puddles and eat dirt anyway despite how hard we try. It's usually in vain.

I'm sorry to hear about Sam. I had a Sam many years ago, but he was a tuxedo cat.
