I really hope you check the shelters one morning and Tuck is there wabiting to come home ❤Having a quiet day here. Did my daily shelter and rescue groups check for my baby. Breaks my heart to see the number of found dogs coming into the shelters daily.
I have little Blue beside me just chilling, and in a moment we'll head outside for the daily yard and chicken care. Blues learned to walk on a leash now, so she gets her first experience in a chicken coop. My beautiful old Iri will join us in there to model good behavior.

Oh no! I hope you all get better soon!Replying from bed. Might as well get the once a year illness over with. What a way to start 2025. Hubby got sick on Sunday, then me on Wednesday, our son somewhere in between. This flu is a doozy. The achiness is abating, though my diaphragm hurts from coughing, and my back hurts probably from being immobile. On the upside at least.
The bumble seems to have shrunken, but I will get a better look at it soon. She is the chicken who comes whenever I'm doing things in the coop, so I can at least look. Catching her is another story.
As for bandaging, I've never had to do feathered feet, but I use a piece of duct tape to secure the end. I just followed the YouTube video.
Before I got sick, gave the girls pumpkin, leftover decor from my neighbor. I got the seeds.
It's looking incredible! Well done!Putting on the last gate latch

...my goodness look at that beak!!
That looks so great! They are all going to love coming home to this!!!Trimmed Beetles beak, thrilled and obsessed to have him home. Did a little set up in the chicken run, installed 4 motion sensor solar lights, one on each gate and one on each coop. I cut some grass to top off shredded paper for 8 of the nest boxes, installed roost/hop and them pad for water.

Need to clean out some heavy junk and move some sand. Make a hanging stand for one of my feeders , figure out where the grandpa feeder is gunna go. Then I will bring in a bunch of leaf debris. Hope to get girls tomorrow afternoon!
I did talk to every neighbor I could. Most of the properties here are over an acre...our acre is a small property. Most of our neighbors have everything fully fenced off so you can't reach their doors to knock. That's why I did the mailbox flyers. But I did get to meet several neighbors I hadn't before when I was walking the streets hollering those first days. Bless some for coming out and asking if they could help. I always forget people might have cameras now days though so didn't think to ask. But at least I know they all have my phone number...trying to think if there's a way to reach doors to ask, or if I'd just make people mad.I really hope you check the shelters one morning and Tuck is there wabiting to come home ❤
Is there anyone near to you who could have recorded him on their doorbell camera?
I'm sure you and the gorgeous Iri can whip Blue into shape. My furry nephew is afraid of my chickens. He hides between my legs whenever he meets them
Loves chasing the house sparrows and rats though.
I'd at least ask close neighbors if they have cameras. You may get some clues or see what direction he headed off to.I did talk to every neighbor I could.
