What did you do with your flock today?

:D Muffin the sheep didn't care one bit!

Poor Honey! She looks happy and tired in that pic.

Oliver's the only cat I've ever had that's like that...he lives for lovings. We have a little feral kitty we raised from one day old that wants to be held while your standing to be petted, but she has a life beyond that! I think Oliver would make that his whole life if he could.

I'll have to go look at lavender Orpington pics some more to see if they're like that. I saw pictures of pearl Orpingtons that were so beautiful. Hoping I can find some. Just a couple girls would be perfect. Granny's a buff Orpington. Huge and wonderful.

Amy's face is a little piece of perfection!
Yes, Honey looks really tired 😪 The heat has been brutal for them and since she can’t see as well she sort of isolates and forgets to go eat.

I’ve never heard of Pearl Orpingtons! They sound really pretty though 😍

I totally agree that Amy’s face is outstanding 😍

Today I watched my 8 week old Olandsk Dwarf cockerel Lunch…try to mount my 6 lb Ameraucana girl Marshmallow 😂😂 Those little boys sure have grand visions of their abilities! 😆

What's even funnier is that they succeed! I got a crele...gosh, I've forgotten the name of the breed! Well, anyway...my little crele roo managed to breed a big girl I had. She was bigger then an EE but smaller then an Orpington. Those distinctive feathers came through in the baby and I knew right away who the dad was! I wonder who worked harder to make that breeding work...roo or hen?

I went to look at the lavender Orpingtons again to see what their legs/skin looks like. It's just like you described and I think pearl isn't the name used for the lavender with white spots on them. Looks like they're just called mottled lavender Orpingtons. The oegb mottled lavender is called pearl 🤷‍♀️.

Last night my husband and I went to the back porch and no sooner did we get out there that we heard it. A noise we hear often but it was coming from the direction of our coop. We both looked at each other. He grabbed the pellet gun and I grabbed the pellets and off we went to look for the raccoon. It was mad about something but we only heard one. By the time we got out there, less than 2 min, it was no where to be found. We believe it either was in a fit with another coon, but still only heard one, OR it got caught up in our netting and wasn’t happy and freaking out. But if it tried to come back last night it had no success. Thank Goodness!! I did check it out on and off through out the night and never seen anything.

Before that catastrophe we worked on the duck coop and added the wood we needed to before the fencing. Today I added some more Lilly’s to the little garden I started but didn’t add very many yet. I don’t want to over crowd it before we can even get the fence for under the coop done.

Ignore the pond. We haven’t changed the water since we lost the ducks. We won’t even mess with it until closer til time for us to get new ones. We may have to change it again before we get the new ones if we did it now. And with the painting going on, I would rather wash the pond really good once to remove any paint.
