We will actually be draining it into the garden next to the coop. But since we got a lot of rain last night and this morning I wont have to worry about it. There is little tadpoles in there too. Like a lot and we have been seeing a few roads around. More than normal.

Poor puppy! I hope he finds a forever home!

The tadpoles are black spots in the water, and it is pretty much like that everywhere.

Well this is a picture I have so far. She is standing my the flag. You can see her red hair and bow, her back is turned so you can’t see her face. Lol She was ignoring me. I marked out the school info to protect her. Not that I think any one of you are going to come get her but being precautious.

Sounds like you had busy day yesterday as well! Lunch looks so curious and Elsafish is stunning. I wonder if all lavender birds have the darker legs and skin. I was looking at lavender breeds a while back trying to decide if I want to get some and noticed dark legs and face on at least one lavender breed. I'll have to go look again.

Do you think it would help to talk to your neighbors about your pet chicks that turned out to be boys and ask if they mind if you keep them?

Um no...this neighbor in particular only talked to us to let her use our fence to attach on to...then almost immediately began ignoring us. She even gets her dog and brings it in when we say hi to it!
It is very strange.
I did take a little basket of goodies from the garden before our vacation. She said thank you. Idk just very odd in general.
But as my son-in-law pointed out.. she wrapped the fence all around her front porch and sidewalk...and it's a locked gate so not the friendly type necessarily.

That's too bad. Well, sometimes shy neighbors work out to be some of the best neighbors once you do get to know them. I'll keep my fingers crossed it works out that way for you.

KHS came and got pup so sad. He wanted to stay with me but hubby was not buying it. Oh well. I will check on him and donate towards him. May even see if I can visit and walk when they give him the approval.

Oh gosh, Happy Aloha Friday!!!
Fast week for me. How about you all?

It was sweltering hot and humid down Kekaha yesterday until the sky opened up. I had to transfer chicks into the carrier and then run to my truck. Kept the heater on on my way up so I was basically in a rolling brooder . Lot of rain and heavy fog at the overlooks on the way up. Quite beautiful ♡. No rain, just light fog at the cabin last eve and I quickly set up the brooder.

Chicks settled and were amazingly quiet and content last night.
Forest was on duty and I had to chuckle as this is were we officially met a year plus ago- he, a starving orphan kitten that I fed so he would not harass my then chicks. I think I had like 56 of them and they must have made him so excited lol

He still seems to take his guard duty responsibilities seriously.
