What did you do with your flock today?

Yep, it’s a girl. I only have one boy. Thank goodness cause he’s a handful. He’s a Speckled Ameraucana. I have 3 of them. But I named the very 2 obvious ones (the cockerel) Ying and the obvious girl Yang. The ones of Yang are kinda funny looking cause I took screen shots of a video. The last one has all 3.
Your girls are beautiful! So good to see them. Good sized flock too ♡
I found my Ameraucana mix cockerels a bit more quirky/punky than my
Barred mixes and certainly my Brahma's. BUT, they are so gorgeous and make fabulous babies who lay wonderful eggs.
I know I should have a 100% light Brahma roo myself but I love that touch of Ameraucana in my Spider.
I hope your boy is a good one.

Still not quite caught up but all's well here. We're all enjoying just seeing and being together. 😃 Tomorrow we head for Seattle for the weekend which is always a pleasure.
Here's my youngest kids dog enjoying a warm jacket. View attachment 3290864
And some wild turkeys we saw when we went to visit my father's grave. The pic shows less then half the flock that was there...i think it's the biggest wild flock I've ever seen.View attachment 3290866

@TropicalBabies congrats on your stand!!!!! It looks amazing 😍. You guys sure did a great job building it!
I LOVE IT!! So glad you gals get this time together!! What great things to see, what great memories ♡♡♡
Love the turkey flock. We have those on the isle of Lanai. Always fun to see a flock of such large birds and no Tom turkey attacks lol
Thanks for popping in to post. Always better WITH your sunshine. You gals stay safe and well ♡♡♡

We finally got that moisture that has been hanging to our North and South. After the early morning rain we had high clouds all day with warm sultry conditions due to the coldfront to our North cutting off our trades. Humidity is 79 this morning. Nice to have a change from perfect sunshine 🌞
Glancing out my window this morning I see the supreme being (Spider) with his head held high watching his domain and its inhabitants. Beetle being one of them, in the center of his buffs and pullets tidbitting and looking content. How lucky am I.
Hope is healing. Infection seems to be gone for some time now, swelling has gone down considerably. I am considering letting her mingle with the crew. Just want to make sure it if beneficial and forward motion. She had a long haul and came out of it without 1 eye. Poor baby. I know she will be fine, just feeling a little protective of her. Yes, I think today is the day.

Oh wow! She’s beefy for a leghorn! I’ve heard they have really fun personalities, but can be a bit saucy in a flock? Is she saucy? 😄
If she isn’t a leghorn than I’m not 100%. She is bigger than my brown leghorns but I have tried to compare her to what she looks like vs what Cackle has. She can be pretty mellow but she is one that will stand up to the rooster, well at times. In the morning they are all running from him. But she will challenge him during the day and is normally the last one in the coop. Or she will just stand at the door so I can’t shut it. And if I try…she jumps out. But I would have to say my brown leghorns are worse than she is. They got the names Lilo and Stitch because of how they act. 🤣

Oh fun! I have a splash Ameraucana girl too, named Marshmallow 😍 I think they’re such pretty chickens!
They are!!! The 3rd one, which I forgot to stare her name, is Snow White. I tried to stay with a Disney theme. I have considered naming my roo Gaston but Yin works better. The next roo can be Gaston. Even though Yin acts like Gaston. 🤣

We are working on his behavior. He isn’t doing too bad really. As long as he doesn’t attack me or my kids, we are good. He won’t even survive if he attacks my husband. He would leave him be though if my husband provoked it. Which he did once cause I needed him to catch him for me so I could make sure he was alright. He had a funny look to him but it turned out to be just the way his feathers were laying.

I love the way spider looks! He is just so beautiful!!! When I get my Brahmas I will have them separate. More because the coop isn’t set up for them. They wouldn’t be very comfortable.

I hope to hear it goes well for Hope! It so good to hear she is doing better! That is just fantastic news! She’s a tough one!

Ahhh poor Hope! I feel so bad for them when they are so sweet and suffer. :-( Poor Fluff appears to have gone blind in his right eye after his nasty dry pox. So he is now super afraid of everything and can’t navigate real well. I’m hoping with time he will get more comfortable with his new normal and be okay. I now have Honey and Fluff together as my handicapped babies in with the chicks and young pullets. Poor Honey is STILL going through her hard molting. I’m sure it would be faster if she’d eat more but at least she’s not stressed out by healthy and active chickens.

Hope will love some time enjoying the nice day! ❤️

Me too! She is a White Leghorn. We named her Daisy. If she had been a boy she would have been Donald. Though she isn’t a duck….it fit. I can’t really say I have AA favorite but she is at the top.
I have a Daisy too!

I went to open Hope's door and I swear my whole folk converged. So, I shooed them out and closed off the garden for Hope to wander as she will without the pressure of a mob. Guess first things first. She has been in the roo coop for at least a week now IDK, time has been flying.
My flock is so big now, too big but thinning may cause boy problems and I don't want boy problems. I'm like super stoked hitting this elusive 2 calm roo flock status. Feel like I should write a book or sign autographs or have a plaque or something to commemorate this moment. Did I just jinx it?!! 😳
