I once had my past boi Robin in the house visiting with family once, and he kept crowing and crowing, it was pretty crazy. But yeah, I've had chickens on google meets as well!Hello! This is a place to post pictures/talk about what you and your flock have done today.
I was on a zoom call earlier and Iris, my rooster, decided to stand behind me and crow repeatedly. Thankfully I was on mute, but it was still annoying. They couldn’t see him, but they could see me trying to make him quiet, which was a little embarrassing.
Here’s a pic of my boy with some mini roses.

Aw, eeh, how cute!I've been working with my quail to see if I can make them friendlier. It started out as a complete accident after feeding them live mealworms, but now they actually run up to the door when someone opens it. Yesterday I was able to hold one of them for a record of 5-10 seconds before she started squirming. They've always been pretty feral, so this is a huge achievement. XD
The other day I found out how Os likes to be held. I always thought she was unfriendly, because she would never approach me and would always run away if she was on my lap and I was gently petting her, but after she was being really obnoxious (Trying to squirm between me and the back of my chair, which I now realize was her way of trying to get attention) I actually had my arms wrapped around her and she snuggled up and fell asleep almost instantly. I feel really bad that it took me a year to figure this out, but better late than never I guess.
It's hot and smoky where I am, I can't tolerate, but my birds are doing fine!We have excessive heat here like we have never had here birds are in rough shape
They do seem to do fine in the smoke! It's hot and smoky where I am, I can't tolerate, but my birds are doing fine!
It's once got that hot in seattle, but right now, it's current;y 75 degrees, maybe because they are lower to the ground than I am and don't suck in the haze as bad as I do.They do seem to do fine in the smoke!
They will die when temps are over 110F though. I have to use a misting system.
We are going into a hot spell. The temps from today are, 101, 106, 108 and then 106. Tuesday says 94F.It's once got that hot in seattle, but right now, it's current;y 75 degrees, maybe because they are lower to the ground than I am and don't suck in the haze as bad as I do..
