What did you do with your flock today?

We all get to certain age and things get harder. Realized I am 20 big birds that is okay.. go up today firgure out who is staing and who is going of my hatch.
I know these are good problems to have :p:cool:
Yes, getting old-er has it's challenges. None of them I am too crazy about but I had a fun youth and it is time to pay the piper. Bones hurt most of all an I resent not being strong like I was. If I only knew then maybe I would have been even more grateful ;););).
Well, I can still get some things done pretty good for now. I'll enjoy while it lasts lol.

When I sell I let the folks pick the best first and then I deal with- sell off or keep- what is left. One day I will do first pick maybe.

Had to iron two tops I bought that does not bother me anymore but newer fancy iron bit the dust .. we have a really old heavy cloth cord steam iron have not used in years but kept ..
Darn thing got it cleaned up water in it worked like a old champ :frow

Less of what I did with my flock, and more of what I’ve done of my flock. :D
I’ve been working on it almost all day today, and a little bit yesterday. It’s based off of Papa Smurf.

its 10 x 20 inches. The picture isn’t great, so tomorrow I’ll get a better one outside. Maybe I can even get a picture of Papa standing next to it. :3

I’ve finished two other paintings (one of Watson, the other of Renie), but this is my favorite. It was originally going to be all three faverolles lined up together, but that didn’t work out.

Hello! This is a place to post pictures/talk about what you and your flock have done today.

I was on a zoom call earlier and Iris, my rooster, decided to stand behind me and crow repeatedly. Thankfully I was on mute, but it was still annoying. They couldn’t see him, but they could see me trying to make him quiet, which was a little embarrassing.
Here’s a pic of my boy with some mini roses.

They are all so beautiful.

Today I let my flock free range all day while I got ready for hurricane Henri tomorrow. I packed up everything in the yard? Set up a safer cage for the next 24 hours for them so I made sure they had all day to be out and about since they will be “cooped up” (pun intended) in a safe cage for the storm. They seemed to enjoy the day until it got too hot. The went in the coop for a bit but came back out two hours later to roam some more. Hoping we don’t get slammed. The power company said 30-50% could be without power for up to ten days and it’s going to be in the 90s all week! Ugh. Fingers crossed.
