Quick update on the new and improved apartment coop. Think my DH is doing a beautiful job. Really looking forward to using it!

I'll pass on the compliment to him. As a warm weather, multi purpose coop on property w/ limited chicken area in Kekaha, Kauai- this makes perfect sense- I hope!
I switched up the design a little from the last one and hope it works even better. I'd be so stoked cuz I loved the last one.

I am slumped the blasted frizzle I raised got aggresive with the little silkie I let out of the brooder ..Really mean pecking heads .. I pulled her out put he in a crate with shavings .. Worse than any barred rock I had

Oh gosh, I am sorry. Time for plan B? Good thing you have space and knowledge and can handle it.

Are you just trying to fold them into their own flock? Breed? What are ages and what are your goals?

Oh heck no.. The banty here have their own coop.. I lost all mine early 2021 in a heat wave .. These are new birds from a gal in Chehalis first there where 4 silkie the frizzle and a EE.. Lost 2 of the 4 within abiut 2 days, one was cockerel ..
Then got 10 silkie peeps from her .. straight run again so little black silkie raised them 3 more pullets other 7 are cockerel Sold 6 so far .. Hope that explains any of the mess

Brought 2 hens and 2 pullets down along with Bolt today. Also brought the 2 kitties. Forest loaded up in his new fancy carrier no problem. Today was the first time I made serious physical contact with Kahili. She was terrific! No scratching or biting, let me put her in her fancy carrier. I am absolutely proud of her ♡.

It is hot here and cats and birds are not happy... except maybe Forest who seems to be happy wherever I am and I love that about him.
So lots of fancy bird and cat footwork today.
I have a friend wanting to stay up at the cabin so I am going to clear out a few more birds and then let her and her family take care of whos left Tuesday- Thursday. Be nice to be down and focus on the new coop, birds and putting back together the run.
I cleaned the coops again. Mites are gone with ivermectin and spray. Fabulous!!
