Oh boy, it’s been pretty busy here. I’ve had family in town, so not a lot of time to catch up with the threads.
Thank you to everyone about the pigeons! I’m super excited. I don’t remember what all I said about them on this thread vs. other threads, but King Louis was having a lot of issues. He couldn’t stop turning in circles, even at night time, but today he’s so much better. He’s started flying up on the perches, and Bert lets me hold her and she just sits in my hand.

They’re getting a lot more comfortable with me. Pigeons really do adapt fast.
The chicks are 7wo now. Due to all the craziness I haven’t been able to hang out with them much outside of taking them in/out of the house, so they’ve been almost aggressively clingy. I’ve been making more time to sit with them, even for only a few minutes, and they’re a lot happier about that. All of the big girls are old enough to know I’m not permanently going anywhere, but these guys are still too young.
The more I see, the more confident I am that Sonny is a pullet. At this age, all of my roos have had massive red combs, and she’s still pretty yellow a lot of the time.
@TropicalBabies , your birds are gorgeous! I’m glad FTT is better, but I’m sorry one of your boys has a weird bump. Have you tried soaking it in a warm paper towel or tea bag? I know it’s not the same thing, but those really helped Iris when his face was swollen.
Congrats on the new girl @kurby22 ! She’s adorable!
