What did you do with your flock today?

Oh boy, it’s been pretty busy here. I’ve had family in town, so not a lot of time to catch up with the threads.

Thank you to everyone about the pigeons! I’m super excited. I don’t remember what all I said about them on this thread vs. other threads, but King Louis was having a lot of issues. He couldn’t stop turning in circles, even at night time, but today he’s so much better. He’s started flying up on the perches, and Bert lets me hold her and she just sits in my hand. ❤️❤️
They’re getting a lot more comfortable with me. Pigeons really do adapt fast.

The chicks are 7wo now. Due to all the craziness I haven’t been able to hang out with them much outside of taking them in/out of the house, so they’ve been almost aggressively clingy. I’ve been making more time to sit with them, even for only a few minutes, and they’re a lot happier about that. All of the big girls are old enough to know I’m not permanently going anywhere, but these guys are still too young.

The more I see, the more confident I am that Sonny is a pullet. At this age, all of my roos have had massive red combs, and she’s still pretty yellow a lot of the time.

@TropicalBabies , your birds are gorgeous! I’m glad FTT is better, but I’m sorry one of your boys has a weird bump. Have you tried soaking it in a warm paper towel or tea bag? I know it’s not the same thing, but those really helped Iris when his face was swollen.

Congrats on the new girl @kurby22 ! She’s adorable!

Great idea on the tea bags!
Love your pigeon coop! The art is fabulous!
Sonny does look like a pullet. She is beautiful ♡ I hope you enjoyed your family 😁

I started the big incubator 56 egg one big?
14 eggs in it ... Will sell them now the auction is back.
Moving the two will have three boys to take to auction waiting another week bigger they are more I will get for them.
My Postal bud is going take her birds set up for them.

Today we had sun and 72 for a high! It felt down right spring like! The chickens did a lot of sun bathing, it was so cute ☺️

Spent a little time with the kids outside and then later with the new girl, Elsafish. I really love her personality, she’s chatty and interested but sweet and reasonably calm. She doesn’t seem crazy flighty as the dogs are constantly harassing her by trying to get to her poop of course 🙄🙄

I am not sure all Ameraucana roosters are so friendly and sweet, but I feel like I won the jackpot with Puff and Fluff. Unlike Mr. Man Eevee who was always a good chicken but not interested in being held or petted or loved on…Puff and Fluff have to say hi everyday and Puff even sits in my lap for a bit and lets me snuggle him. He also seems reasonably willing to share his ladies with the other two, although less so with Emilio the bantam boy. ☺️ Was a good chicken day, hope it stays that way 🤞🏻
I love the silvers or lavender of your chooks. Absolutely stunning. I am thrilled they are good boys ♡♡♡♡
Poor little Elsafish. I'm looking forward to the flock intro for her. I'm not a fan of intro and isolation but know it is that necessary evil (if you will).
How the coyote issue? 😬😬😬

Happy Aloha Friday all. In my house it is also known as "French toast Friday" . Today, had a little Hawaiin bread upgrade as I shared eggs and had Hwn bread shared in return. DHs eyes are bigger than his opu but he managed lol. No calories or cholesterol in that lol
