Neighbor dogs seem to be the worst offenders to chickens of any predators. We haven't had any sightings of the coyote thank goodness! I can understand why she felt awful breaking the news to you--I have not inquired about any of the roosters I have rehomed for that reason...I'm afraid of the possible answers. I know they went to good homes but stuff happens and I am happier thinking they are living a great life somewhere else.
