The baby pigeons are able to fly and eat by themselves now. Frittata hasn’t made it to the shelves yet, but she’s been bouncing around the perches and bath. Big Bird was able to get to the top shelves.
The baby chicks are about 3 1/2wo now. They’re already doing day trips outside. Normally I like to wait a little longer, but it’s been fairly warm and they’re way too active. I’ve broken a few too many birds by letting them rile in the brooder.
They’re getting so big already. I’m pretty sure Feathers is a boy, so I’m bummed about that. He’s been showing all the typical cockerel signs, like being the only one to bite me, a slightly bigger and slightly more tinted comb than the other two, slow to feather in, barred. I’m hoping I’m wrong, especially since the rest of my family still thinks he’s a girl, but I’ve had really good luck so far and I know it’s about time it runs out. : (
Feathers:
Squirrel:
Fergus:
I’m so excited to see Fergie when she’s fully feathered. The pictures don’t do her justice, she’s already so pretty.
Comb comparisons:
His comb isn’t as vibrant in person, but it does have a little bit of color already. : (
And then a few random pictures I got (mostly plants from a park I just went to) while practicing a new photography technique someone mention.
