I would totally cry if one of my old loved plants died while in someone else's care! I gifted my most favorite Ficus to my sister and after she died her husband neglected it and it died and I cried....both for the ficus and the reason it died.

I hope your husband tries hard for you!!
I'm so glad Schultz is getting his groove back! Even if just a little bit! Fluff crowed once yesterday inside the coop and it gave me some hope too...I'm hoping some time with nice chickens helps him regain his confidence--he's also molting so I'm sure he doesn't feel even close to 100%. He came out the other day before I closed him up and he tried flying to me so he could avoid being on the ground and chased by Emilio and he got stuck in the bird netting and knocked my coffee on the ground and scared all the chickens. When he finally got to me, he laid his head on my shoulder and just slept. Sweet boy feels all out of sorts and clearly feels safe with me--he's been this way since he was little. Anytime he was scared he would come hide on my shoulder.
Your daughter sounds like Aria

I am sure one of these days she will have her own birds and they will all be roosters haha. It really is the best seeing them loving on animals. <3
