Thanks! Egg and Bert did all of the raising, but I made sure to spend a lot of time with them as they grew up. They're my first non-rescued pigeons, so I had no idea just how sweet they could be! Everyone else is still a little nervous around me (understandable, I've had them for less than a year), but these two hang out on my shoulder and preen my hair whenever I'm in there. <3

That is fun! We've had a lot of pigeons over the years but I haven't seen a tame one since I was a kid and we raised a rescue. Well done

@FrankieDoodle Egg still/always looks gorgeous to me but if you want to paint him that would probably be very pretty and entertaining too
To respond to the bag question. I only use a pattern to mark my corners. I do do some measuring though.
Is Molly on an antibiotic? Poor baby I hope she is able to get over what is bothering her .

Thanks! Maybe I can use some sort of natural dye, like raspberry’s or something. He still wouldn’t look like an egg, but maybe it’s time for a change. XD jkjk

She’s not on any antibiotics right now, but she was on a week of Baytril with no effect. :/
I noticed she has a few scabs/bruises on her earlobes, so I’m wondering if that’s related to the swelling? She’s pretty high on the pecking order (and by that I mean she doesn’t fight anyone and no one fights her. She gets along with everyone lol) so I doubt one of the other birds got her. It’s too exact to be an accident, especially since it happened within a few days of each other.

It’s tiny! IME pigeon eggs are about the size of quail eggs, so Frito’s new child is ridiculously small. Tomorrow I’ll get a picture of it with a quarter or something. : P

What all are you using the bags for? If you ever have free time to kill, I'd love a bag tutorial . We always bring our own shopping bags and those sure look like they'd make great ones. They'd be great for taking veggies to the neighbors too...with an endless supply of bags, I could just drop it off and go.

I love pigeons but I don't know. I gave away our last four early this spring. I have some dove rescues I hand raised. The neighbors tend to bring me critters they find that they think need help (mostly baby birds) and I have three doves that I couldn't bring myself to release...they were little bald pinkie sized babies when I started with them and they grew up too tame even though I tried not to handle them much. So I decided to keep the doves and re-home the pigeons. I'm running out of space...lol.

Back in our college days my hubby brought home a little bald headed baby dove he found on campus that I raised and named Luna...so these all got Luna names in memory of that sweetheart. Lunatwo was brought to me a few summers ago. Lunatic and Lunatoc are from this summer and have just weaned enough to move outside so they're looking a little rough still. But they're eating good now and should be looking smooth and sleek in another week or two.
These three just love people and follow me around when they can. Think if I released them, they'd be landing on strangers heads. They're in small cage til we get back from our trip. Then they'll get moved into a bigger walkin.

I heard back but they don’t think they can get a copy. And honestly I wasn’t expecting them to put it in a scanner cause it would probably ruin it. But they aren’t sure if they had extra in storage but being that it was in 1931, I really don’t think they waisted with extras and I also don’t believe that even if they did have extras it would be in good shape and they would REALLY have to dig. So they offered for me to go in and take a picture of it. But that would mean me being able to take a LOT better of a picture and getting the names that are written on the bottom. So I’m going next week to get it. I will be printing one off for my mom and I can’t wait to see her face when she sees it. I might get one for my Aunt as well but I know that if anything happens to her my cousin will just throw everything out. And she has a lot of our family history in her house. It’s sad really. But I’m totally excited to get this chance!

Molly's poor face is still getting worse. : ( she's been on daily Benadryl for a few days now, but so far there hasn't been any improvement.
I still have no idea what it could be. Everyone else is still symptom-free, so I don't think it's contagious, but if the Benadryl doesn't work then I don't know what to do next. Aside from getting more feathers stuck to her face than normal I don't think it's bothering her too much, but I really hate not being able to help her. : ( Today is only day 4 of Benadryl, so I guess we'll see how she is after a full week. :/

On more disappointing news, Egg molted away his yellow spots. Now he looks so plain. He's not nice enough to look so boring. How's he supposed to be Egg if he doesn't look like one? : (

Thank you! I just need to figure a way to get the senior picture of him from my mom. She is a store manager at the local dollar tree so she is gone almost all day but my step-dad was forced into retirement and so he is at home all day. I need to get creative. I don’t think telling my mom to just give it to me will work well
