What did you do with your flock today?

Brown recluse is just a guess My family already chewed me out for not going to the doctor right away. But at this point the worst seems to be past, so unless it forms an ulcer, I don't see a point to a doctor. Google said only some recluse bites require a doc.

We have his n her coffee makers too. I use a pour over maker. Just love it.

I haven’t heard of that! I will have to look into it. Since I need a new one anyway I want to make sure I love it and like it

Seems like a broken coffee machine is an opportunity one that should not take too long or be squandered lol.
I love the pour over coffee. So simple, easy to clean and a nice thoughful process. I am a French press kind of gal but if I lived in a cooler climate I'd probably have a machine. I do enjoy my coffee last vice, well, that and cussing... and chickens... and kitties.. .

K. @ChicksnMore spider bite has me focused and over thinking our spiders here. We get the pesky brown widows that seem to like our rubbish can handles. I clean out and give the girls a snack and a week later another has moved in. I think... I need to be more aware of what is crawling around. @chicks is a good reminder. 🕷🕷🕷

Seems like a broken coffee machine is an opportunity one that should not take too long lol.
I love the pour over coffee. So simple, easy to clean and a nice thoughful process. I am a French press kind of gal but if I lived in a cooler climate I'd probably have a machine. I do enjoy my coffee last vice, well, that and cussing... and chickens... and kitties.. .

I’m dying…I know I am. I feel myself withering away…I hear coffee yelling at me in all directions but I just don’t have a good way to make it. I love having it in the morning before letting the ducks and chickens out and when I come back in, I can warm up with it. I did look up the pour over coffee, it looks REALLY cool but I think I may want a machine. Like one that is a coffee/espresso maker….although I have a feeling I get the espresso maker my husband will take it over .

I agree!!! However if I build him a really good size garage (which is in the plans) than I can just ship all his yucky stuff out there. And then I can stay in the warm house . And baby chicks can stay inside too . I will let him come in every once in a while if he is good

Well happy veteran's day all!
We have a nice cloudy morning so far but sure they will clear.
DH got the 4th stand all but done last eve. It is pretty cute, a mini version of the bigger stands. I got about 40 bags first cut and cleaned, 15 cut and ready to sew and 2 finished with only handles left to be sewn on- having stages helps. I plan to get to the painting of today, a few more bags sewn and somewhere in there DH and I will hopefully have a Boo & Bee bike adventure this later noon. So, I named his bike Bee because we have a pair... get it? Boo & Bee... Boo Bee?! Just seemed fitting... maybe it won't stick because I don't want to explain that to my grandkids, but always fun to name your ride when you are old and senile.
I have too many chickens.

Aaawww naming your bikes! And yeah, I wouldn’t want to explain that to even my kids, although half would laugh the other half would be like “that’s gross” and even maybe some vomiting noises. I love your chickens! I couldn’t have enough of them! With that said…I’m totally not opposed to taking some off your hands. . I don’t even know if that would work but I see your chickens and I just love the way they look! Absolutely gorgeous!!!

I'll be extra careful from now on. I saw we were disturbing some little brown spiders, my kid said she thought they were recluses and I poo pooed her. I told her they'll run away, don't worry.
I know I never want to get bit again. Think I am going to have to go see a doc. The red areas growing, the center holes turning black and a rash has formed parallel it. Still feeling icky to boot but not as bad as the first 24 hours.
