Hubby's the worst fireworks culprit here. He invites the neighbor kids and keeps it on the driveway out front. Poor puppies if he does and poor hubby n kiddos if he doesn't.

No win win. But kids are only little once. My husband is bad with fireworks too. In Illinois you can’t buy fireworks like you can other states, there is actually 3 states that regulates buying them. I mean we could drive to Missouri and get them but we would be the only house shooting off those fireworks that it would be obvious and we would end up in trouble . I hope the babies do ok! My brother and sister in law have a couple big dogs that don’t do well with it either and they are just a hot mess. I feel for all little ones that don’t do well and their owners.

Mine is sneezing too off and on. I believe the sudden temp is doing that to them. Even I’m having coughing fits.

I have been giving mine some extra herbs. I have been having a hard time finding vitamins around here right now.

Our big kids are all off and running. Oldest went to dinner with friends and youngest is at work. First New Years with just me and hubby since kids came along.
Kids should both get home just in time for company though so guess not really just me and hubby yet...lol.
Treated all my birds to alfalfa for the new years. They'd rather have fresh greens but they always enjoy it.

And the littles were curious enough to venture out for a taste.

Collected eggs a little early while I was at it and one of my girls told me she needs a little privacy please!

Never pays to try to collect early here

I think I’m about 40 pages behind. Did I miss anything major?

I fixed my pigeon situation and found a fantail at the HS that was in need of a home for my lonely King Louis. Her name is Duchess, to go with the royalty theme. Both of them are girls (King and Duchess) but they’ve been getting along really well so far. She such a small, delicate little bird, I love her so much.
She’s fairly friendly, too, and has let me hold her a few times.
